Welcome to AtoZ Challenge. This year, my theme is from my upcoming book, Character Astrology Profiles, where I use Greek and Chinese Zodiac to map out 144 unique fictional profiles to help you create more complex characters.
It is my honor to be hosting IWSG this month. This is the greatest writing group there is, and there is a lot of give and take, and this month is me giving back. This is my second time co-hosting. It’s a group about sharing your insecurities and getting feedback from the community on ways to either overcome it, or encouragement to help you achieve your goals. I thank Alex J. Cavanagh for creating this and thank all writers out there who help keep this alive.
Be sure to show them some love.
Now onto my post.
Addicted to Writing
It’s better than being addicted to love, as the only person to get hurt is your characters.
In many ways, writing is a drug. Often times it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, like many alcohols do… I mean, if it wasn’t for the drunk effect, I don’t think we’d drink alcohol. It tastes awful. I digress, but writing is very much like this, it is hard work and we are often left wanting to be finished.
But what makes us do it is those few good moments we experience that is a high.
