Welcome to another edition of Internet Writer’s Support Group. A time honoured tradition for my site where I reveal my thoughts and feelings as a writer. Sometimes those thoughts are good, other times, not so good. Today, I will discuss my new Patreon account. What is it, why am I doing it, and how this will affect me as a writer.
Welcome to the second to last article of the Map-Making portion of the Worldbuilding series. Today we do a brief talk about Municipals. This won’t go into detail about the different type of Municipals; those will be a discussion at a later time, as each one requires its own article.
Today we’ll generate some random Municipal locations, such as Cities, Villages, Towns, and Hamlets. After that, I will show you a technique that will allow you to clean up your map for finalization.
Welcome to another edition of the Madness Worldbuilding series. By this point, we have a basic map. Doesn’t seem like much. While I am excited by the promise it has, I think we need to add a little colour to it.
In this tutorial, we are going to do some steps that are necessary for later steps, which you’ll be glad we did. These elements will help us to clearly define the Oceans, the Continents, Lakes, and Islands. Read more
Welcome to the third edition of the Worldbuilding series. Also, Happy Earth Day. Funny how things fall into place.
So far with this series we’ve talked about our planet and tools we’ll use. Unfortunately, we have one more tool to discuss today, however, there is the nice added benefit of starting to build your world.
After reading this and following the directions, you’ll have an outline of your continents. Exciting stuff.
Knowing what this series of articles have to offer, I’m sure you want to dive in and get into designing you world. I don’t blame you as designing a world is a lot of fun. Just for Map Making, there are 20 articles that will take you along the journey of making your world. Before we can get started, we need to go over preliminary information.
This article goes over some basics about our planet. To understand our plant helps us design our own world for our stories.
Welcome to another edition of worldbuilding. I know I said in the last tutorial that I was done doing Rivers. However, Wetlands are quite a bit different from rivers. It is best to think of Wetlands as a combination as a water source (river, lake, ocean) and land.
There is a lot of information to go over today. Lots to learn.
