Anti-climax is a great words that describes a great plot device that, like a magic trick, you have to be careful in its execution. A poor execution can lead to a lot of angry viewers.

Welcome to the relaunch of my literary terms. For the past few years I’ve been doing the A to Z Challenge and my topic of choice was New Age Literary Terms. While I will not be doing Literary terms for the A2ZChallenge in the future, I will be continuing the terms individually, starting with the posting of old terms.
One complaint I get during my A to Z Challenge is the length of my articles. I’ll admit they are quite long, and there are many blogs people want to visit and mine takes a bit of time to get through. I do apologize for that, but since last year, a number of my AtoZ article have been viewed throughout the year, so while I do this for AtoZ, I also do it for others visiting my site in the future.
Today we have Jungian Psychology.
It is now a new week of A to Z Challenge. Last week was quite informative, offering us new insights into the world and how to apply that to our writing. Well, that was only the beginning. This week will give you a new way to think about everything.
Today we discuss 3 terms that are very very close to each other. Ego, Id, and Super-Ego. So, strap your thinking caps on and keep your hands inside the cart at all times.
Having already made up my own term to satisfy X, I thought I might have to do that for Y. Not quite. Almost, but luckily I found two good terms. The end is nigh, and soon I can go back to trying to become a successful author. Bringing normalcy to my blog. I’m happy and sad.
Today will be Yandere and Your Usefulness.
I’m sure I’ll have something more profound tomorrow, but those who have supported me, you deserve a lot of my thanks. You definitely made this worth doing. Show me your love down below.
Hardest letter to date. I’m betting it will be the hardest of the last 3. How do I measure how hard this was? I have about 6 different resources to find terms to transform into literary terms for my blog. With X, I found only 1 in all of those resources. The second one, I made up. You can do a Google search for both terms, figure out which one is made up, or just read below. Do note, that even though one is made up, I feel that it is still important to know.
So get ready for Xanatos Gambit and xX Centric Plots. And for this one, working as hard as I have on this letter, I really want to hear your responses.
A rough few letters and in the past week, and I start a new week with a somewhat easy letter. It’s a nice load off my mind, considering that this week and next week will be the hardest part of the challenge. Just one day at a time.
From the messages I’ve received, my posts have helped people learn a lot and that makes me very proud, as my goal with this blog is to teach people.
The words today is Red Herring and Retroactive Continuity.
As always, look forward to hearing from you. I feel I have made some new friends thanks to the contest, and it is always a welcome surprise to see your posts. Special shout out to fellow AtoZ Challenge Tasha Sophie Sara Veronica Nicohle and thank you for your support.
When you think of tough letters, your first thoughts are Q, X, Y, Z…but O? O my God, this was a tough letter to find words for. There are words, but to do what I’m trying to do, nothing good. I finally found something interesting that I think will knock your socks off, but I would prefer if you kept your feet in the air while you read this. And if you’re not wearing socks, can you slip them on first? Thank you.
Today I am doing Olfactory Imagery and Out-of-Character Moment
You know the drill, give you the words, link them together (somehow) and you let me know what you think. Great fun for everyone.
Today we’ll be looking at In Medias Res and Iceberg Theory. Don’t fret if you haven’t heard these term, I didn’t until I looked these up. They are important terms to know and how they relate to each other is equally important.
As always, please post below, let me know how I am doing and what you are getting out of this.
We had a good first week getting some good solid literary terms in. Now comes the hard part with F, G, H, I, J, K. But don’t worry, I have them picked out, and you should be well surprised what they are.
Starting off the week, we have Flashback and Foreshadowing. This should be a delight, glad the week is starting off easy.
As always, please post below what you think and if you think I got something wrong, lay it on me.
