Literary Terms – Catastrophe

large_open_bookHere’s a word we often hear. But do you know what it means? Most people would say something really bad, and they’d be right, but like most definitions, there is more to it than that. It has another meaning rich with history and today we will explore that to help us understand what a catastrophe is when we write, and how it can be both a positive and negative thing.

Liebster Award – Thanks Sophie, Tasha, and Sara

liebsteraward_05142014Time once again for the Liebster Award. I had received this honor once before, and you can read that here. I thought about just ignoring it as I’ve done it once already and have a lot to do, but for my second go round I have been nominated 3 times for it. So I’m going to do it part of the way through.

Xanatos Gambit & xX Centric Plots — A-to-Z Blog Challenge, Literary Terms

XHardest letter to date. I’m betting it will be the hardest of the last 3. How do I measure how hard this was? I have about 6 different resources to find terms to transform into literary terms for my blog. With X, I found only 1 in all of those resources. The second one, I made up. You can do a Google search for both terms, figure out which one is made up, or just read below. Do note, that even though one is made up, I feel that it is still important to know.

Unfettered & Unperson — A-to-Z Blog Challenge, Literary Terms

UAs much fun as this has been, I am ready to be done with this. Is there anyway for us to end the alphabet here? Stop it at U? Probably not since my name would then be Chris Uoteu. Plus, we’d lose out on X, and then how would we find porn in a video store?

Today we have Unfettered and Unperson. Weird terms, but then U is an unusual letter.

Always a shout out to my fans and their support, if you get a chance, click on their names or check out their websites to find out all the interesting things about them. They are quite wonderful people.

Today we have Thinking Out Loud and 3rd-Person Narrative.

The battle is soon over and I know each of you will be there until the very end.

Flashback & Foreshadowing — A-to-Z Blog Challenge, Literary Terms

FWe had a good first week getting some good solid literary terms in. Now comes the hard part with F, G, H, I, J, K. But don’t worry, I have them picked out, and you should be well surprised what they are.

Starting off the week, we have Flashback and Foreshadowing. This should be a delight, glad the week is starting off easy.

As always, please post below what you think and if you think I got something wrong, lay it on me.
