Kickstarter Update — New Stretch Goal: $4000

daygar legacy coming soonI have a brand new stretch goal. For those who don’t know, when it comes to Kickstarter, a Stretch Goal is when you reach a certain amount of money, the person doing the Kickstarter offers something. Sometimes it is a feature in their product or they offer something that can be purchased.

I have designated already what my Stretch Goals will be, starting with when I get my $3000 goal to by some miracle getting $25,000. Some of my goals is a gift to the those who donate to get extra features, and other stretch goals is how that amount of funding will help me. Today, I report on what special thing my supporters get when I reach the $4000 goal.

Help Keep This Site Running

This site is a great achievement for me, but due to being unable to work, I may not be able to keep this site running. With your help, I might be able to.

I need $125 by October 30th, 2017. Anything you can give will help.

One of the things I did with my Kickstarter campaign was email authors to let them know about my campaign. Not to ask for donations, but to ask they tweet about my campaign or write an article about my campaign. Most who wrote back offered to help. A few who wrote back stated, for their own reasons, that they would not be able to support me.

Might seem mean, but I don’t see it that way. They still wished me luck and hope that I accomplished my goal. People have their reasons to do and not to do something. I am happy they wrote back to wish me well.

Of all those who emailed me back, there was two people together that did something a little different and unexpected. I speak of Writers Helping Writers. Initially I emailed Angela Ackerman, but as we exchanged emails, I also spoke with Becca Puglisi. When I first started my career in December 2014, I came across their site and saw that they created three books:

Once I saw these books, I knew one day I had to own them. Everything I’ve seen and read about these books, I knew they were something that all writer’s must have. More than that, they have an outstanding blog with fantastic articles.

Anyways…

So in talking with them, they stated they were unable to support my Kickstarter. They have their reasons which I 100% respect. But, they saw my situation and wanted to do something to help out. So, they have sent me their books. All three.

They stated that I was free to use this how I wanted, including to keep for myself to help enhance my writing. In our talking to each other, they stated that they hoped that these books would help out my Kickstarter campaign in some way. As GREAT as these books are, I want to respect their wishes and use these books for my Kickstarter campaign.

So, if I reach $4000, one person will be able to purchase all 3 books in a single bundle for a reduced price. Since I only have 1 copy of each book, I can only give 1 away. So it will be first come first serve once I post it. I will also handle all the shipping charges.

I can’t speak enough about these books, and in a few days I will give my own review of these books so you can get an understanding of how great this is. I know $4000 seems like a far away goal, but I have hope that as we get closer to the end of my campaign, more people will want to donate.

If you want to see these books available for you or someone else to obtain, please feel free to donate and spread the word to encourage others to do so. I promise you that your donation goes into helping me get my books out in the hopes of having a career in which I can take care of myself.
