Time once again for the Liebster Award. I had received this honor once before, and you can read that here. I thought about just ignoring it as I’ve done it once already and have a lot to do, but for my second go round I have been nominated 3 times for it. So I’m going to do it part of the way through.
I need $125 by October 30th, 2017. Anything you can give will help.
First off, I wish to thank Sophie, Tasha and Sara for the nomination. Now since I have been nominated once already this year, I am going to do things a little different for my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th nomination of the year. I am going to answer all the questions asked of me. I am not going to send to others as there is no one right now I have to send to. I will not be doing the 11 random facts either.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of having two ebooks on the market and the promise of more very soon. Others don’t realize the greatness of doing that, especially since most say they will do it and never do.
What was your first job?
I was a cook at Churches Chicken. Good tenders, OK chicken. Amazing gravy. Goes great with sushi.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Since most days are the same for me, I don’t keep a bucket list. I keep a list of things to do when I get back to normal. Top of that list is to meet a girl and fall in love.
What is one of your favorite memories?
I have an extremely bad memory, so I cannot answer this question. My past is more of an empty void of my life.
What made you start blogging?
I like being a source of information. I’ve had 6 blogs before, this is the first I considered successful.
Who is your favorite fictional character?
Too many to name. It really depends on my mood of the moment. Right this second, I would say Nog from DS9.
Any phobias or things you find irrationally creepy?
Do you have a favorite quote? If so, what is it?
You want to be a writer? Step 1: Write.
What song(s) would you like to have on the soundtrack of your life?
Heart of Courage – 2 Steps from Hell
Bounty Hunter – Advent Rising – Tommy Tallarico
Final Fight – Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Rob Duncan
Prelude to War – Battlestar Galactica – Bear McCreary
Barbossa is Hungry – Pirates of the Caribbean
Battle for Peace – Star VI
What is the best place you’ve visited?
Lastly, pie or cake?
How old were you when you realised you love stories in a way that not everyone else does?
I was fairly young when I wanted to be a writer, starting around 9/10 with my first Star Trek fanfic.
Do you have a pet? If yes, what kind? If no, would you like one and if so what kind?
I don’t technically have a pet, but I do take care of my parents chocolate Lab and a Chihuahua.
What is your favourite recreational activity?
Riding a bike
Do you prefer to read a story on your own, hear it read by someone else or see it dramatised with actors?
I prefer to see it dramatized by actors and then read the book.
What is your favourite fiction genre?
Science Fiction is my first love.
Country or city living – which is for you?
I don’t know, never lived in the Country
If you could do one thing from your bucket list right now, what would it be?
I don’t have a bucket list. Read the answer on Sara’s question.
Who is your favourite celebrity and why?
Nathan Fillion. He is what I would be if I became highly successful. Fun and a child at heart.
What is your least favourite chore?
Vampire or werewolf – who is going to win that showdown?
Now you’ve done it. There is no easy answer to this, but I will try to sum it up as best as I can.
To answer this question, it really comes down to the details. Both minor and major.
First off, is it during the day or night? If during the day, the Werewolf has the advantage. Vampires traditionally have a fatal weakness to sunlight and will burn up. All a Werewolf has to do is drag the vampire outside. Though the werewolf does have to come to where the Vampire is at, giving the Vampire homefield advantage.
If during the night, is there a full moon? If there is, then the Werewolf traditionally has no control of their wolf form and becomes a mindless beast berserker. While this gives them great strength, it also causes them to have a beast mind, reacting on instinct. This gives the Vampire the advantage as they can use a superior intellect to outsmart a Werewolf.
If there is no full moon, then both are about equal in who could win. This would be decided on the individuals and the conditions to which the fight is taking place. Vampire would want to keep its distance whereas the Werewolf would want to close the distance and stay close to the Vampire. With all things being equal, I give it to the Vampire. The vampire might be a corrupt soul, but as time goes on, they get smarter. Werewolves are part human and part beast, meaning part of their mind is beast. This would limit their intelligence capacity compared to a Vampire.
How many bloggers does it take to change a lightbulb?
1 to write a How-to on changing lightbulbs
1 to repost the blog post on their site
1 to read the post and post about their experience
1 to review the blog post about the experience of changing a lightbulb
1 to criticize the review, citing that it was done wrong and start a controversy.
I ask this of everyone – declare yourself – cat or dog person?
What’s your favourite pastime?
Describe yourself in one word.
If you had to live on a dessert island, what two things would you take with you (and to make it easier on you, yes, this desert island can have electricity)?
Duct tape palate (with shrink wrap)
CB Radio (so I can talk to passing ships)
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you like to visit and why?
Oregon, Seattle, UK, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Denmark
For the women and the food.
Do you have any bad habits?
I can be lazy
If you could take tea with any literary figure, who would it be and why?
I assume take tea is the same as have tea. If not, taking someones tea would be quite mean.
I would likely choose Aleksandr Kerensky from Mechwarrior universe. Greatest military mind in history and considered the father of the Clans.
Who’s your favourite villain (can be TV, books, movies, video games, etc)?
Like choosing my favorite character, it is hard for me to choose just one villain. It depends on my mood. If I have to pick right now, I choose General Chang from Star Trek VI. The moment you meet him you know he’s the villain, yet he is highly educated and has a charm about him. He is like an Orca who plays with its food before it eats it.
You’re about to jump out of an aeroplane, what’s the last thing that goes through your head before the leap?
Triple check that I know 100% what I will be doing when I jump.
Do you have a favourite fairytale?
Jack and the Bean stock. The characters seem more realistic.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and what would you do with it?
The problem with superpowers is that you need a collection of powers to help control them. Or a power would have ironic consequences or leave you isolated from society.
I think the Zack Morris power or Hiro from Heroes of Time Manipulation is what I would choose. I could manipulate a lot around me for both good and bad.
