A to Z Challenge Reflections

A-to-Z_Reflection_[2014]Ever hear the phrase, “bit off more than you can chew”? I think that is the theme for me. I chose a hard topic and was successful, but wanted to start in March and finish up in two weeks and leave April as a way to catch up on things I’ve fallen behind on.

That is not what happened.

Help Keep This Site Running

This site is a great achievement for me, but due to being unable to work, I may not be able to keep this site running. With your help, I might be able to.

I need $125 by October 30th, 2017. Anything you can give will help.

At first I was able to do several articles a day. First few letters were easy to do and was able to rely on general terms that many people already knew. Once I got to L, it was much harder to do and had to rely on a Dictionary of theories, mathematics, psychology, and even just look up words that started with the letter. Eventually I found TV Tropes, which helped out tremendously.

I am happy I did the contest and will likely do it in 2015, though I’ll likely choose a challenge not so difficult. While I had finished the articles two weeks in advanced, I was editing articles a few hours before their being published just to make sure everything was good. Normally I post articles once every 4 days, then ignore my blog until I need to post again.

Despite the discomfort I felt and my disability getting the better of me, as I didn’t get anything done except the contest, I will say that it is worth it. I have met some interesting people and got exposed to many blogs that I will look forward to in following. I’m hoping to interview a few writers for my blog and do some guest blogging. As a thank you to some of my followers, I posted their blog on my A to Z Page.

I had hoped to have my second story for the year done by now, but it will be delayed a few months. In the mean time, I will be releasing my cover art for the story and also installments of the story in preparation for the story. It will be called, Templar Five, which will be the first of many stories in the Daygar Series. Fair warning, it is a vampire story, but I am going back to the classics of vampire lore of vampires being the great evil. The story takes place in 1300’s Europe. I’ve never done Alternative Historic Fantasy before, so this will be a new journey for me.
